2008 Campaigns
We hosted our first fundraising event in August, the Tour de Reef Point (a play of words on the Tour de France). It was a gorgeous summer day and about 100 people came to tour lovely La Conner homes, enjoy delicious food from Mount Vernon's Marks on Pine Square and beverages from LaConner Brewing. There was a scramble to bid on silent auction items, many of which were made by the talented artists affiliated with Visiting Nurse Home Care.
We conducted our second annual Simple Giving campaign in December, mailing several thousand letters to our many clients, friends, and supporters.

2007 Simple Giving Campaign
This autumn season wraps up the 2007 Simple Giving Campaign. This was Visiting Nurse's first fundraising campaign since we became a stand-alone nonprofit in 1999.
I would like to extend my deep appreciation to all the individuals and community businesses who contributed so generously to our effort.
I would also like to thank our staff and board members who gave their time, expertise - and funds - to make a Herculean task fun and successful. We feel the same as our nonprofit organization brothers and sisters now, having completed this fundraising "right of passage", and look forward to seeking additional support in the coming months and years.
